This workshop is a hybrid of a yin (passive) yoga practice and a yang (active) yoga practice. We will move through a mixed level vinyasa class targeting the hips and hamstrings, uniting breath with movement. We will then move into a series of yin poses with focus on these same areas, holding them for several minutes to slowly and deeply stretch the muscles. We will end with pranayama (breathwork) and a relaxing savasana. This is a great way to explore the opposite energies within ourselves, and to cultivate a practice that leaves us feeling relaxed yet strong.
