We are so excited to offer a training workshop for one of our most popular classes: Chair Yoga. Whether you are a yoga teacher who wants to make class more accessible; a healthcare professional who wants to equip clients with tools to stretch, breathe, and relax; or a curious individual who wants to learn more in depth about yoga and how to incorporate this amazing healing modality even while you sit- this training is for you.
Chair yoga incorporates various poses and breathwork while seated and - for those who are able - while standing at the chair. Chair Yoga is a favorite among seniors and those recovering from surgery or managing an injury, but Chair Yoga is really for EveryBody! There are MANY different reasons for people to take chair yoga - a chair is not a limitation; it is a very useful prop.
In this training we cover the following:
-The purpose and benefits of yoga
-Yoga Poses while seated in the chair
-Yoga Poses while standing at the chair
-Breathing Exercises
-Meditation Practices
-Chair Yoga sequencing and creating your own 30 minute chair yoga class
